
In 1995, Candace Karu qualified, by the skin of her teeth, to run in the 100th Boston Marathon, an event of historic proportions. She wrote her first article for Running Times about that experience. That article led Karu to a long and very happy stint at an incredible magazine: between 1995 and 2007 she rose from Contributor to Associate Editor and, finally, to Editor at Large. For the last three years Karu was with the magazine, her column "The Running Life" ran in every issue. Here is a sampling of her work at Running Times.
